Bob Samuelson had some very reasoned commentary in the Washington Post this week regarding the economic of immigration. He addressed at length some's assertion that immigrants will be able to pick up the financial burden of we retiring baby boomers. He provides the usual stats, supporting his certainty that wage-earning [lower] immigrants will not be willing to shoulder the hefty financial burden of retired baby boomers for long and that such a perceived "solution" is more a Trojan horse than the former. You gotta love Sam--his columns are certainly "things that make you go, hmmmmm..."
